There is nothing more annoying that not being able to edit or modify a layer in Adobe Photoshop. Perhaps the one thing that IS more annoying is not being able to unlock the layer. This tutorial shows you how to relieve your frustrations and unlock a layer.

Or you can just right click it, and press, layer from background
double click the layer and ok
There is One more way if you are using Mac, Just hold “Alt” key and double click on layer….. it will open without asking you anything.
